It’s time for the ARTS BEATS & EATS STAR MAKER SHOWDOWN. A singing competition with:

• $5000 Cash for the Winner | $10,000 Total in Cash & Prizes!

• Performance on the Jim Beam National Stage immediately before the I Love the 90’s Tour (Starring Vanilla Ice) 

Star Maker Showdown is the search for the Next Big Star! We are shining a Spotlight on Michigan’s Vocal Talent! All Contest Rounds will take place at the Arts Beats & Eats NEW 10th STAGE at 526 Main Dueling Piano Bar - Royal Oak. The Contest is organized and facilitated by Fusion Entertainment & 526 Main.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS FREE & REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST:

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOT YOUR OFFICIAL CONTEST SIGN-UP AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE A COMPETITION SPOT IN THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS, BUT IS CRITICAL TO ADEQUATELY PREPARE FOR THE EXPECTED NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS. PRE-REGISTRATION OPEN TO THE FIRST 500 WHO REGISTER.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be available for ALL of the following dates in order to participate in any of the Qualifying Rounds and collect Prize Money: 

• Finals Showdowns: Monday, September 1, between 12 pm - 6:30 pm.

• Performance on the National Stage: Monday, September 1, between 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

• Performance at Soaring Eagle Casino - Mt. Pleasant, MI: Sep. 20 at 7 pm

ARTS BEATS & EATS - QUALIFYING ROUNDS

• All Singers must pre-register.

• Full details coming after initial Pre-Registration

• (All Times are subject to change based on Pre-Registration Results. Please check back.)

• Daily Results will be posted on Fusion Entertainment Contest Website each evening within 90 Minutes of the conclusion of that day’s final round. 

  
  

FRIDAY, AUGUST 29 

1 singer will be chosen on this day only to perform a song that night, on the Soaring Eagle Rock Stage with The Persuasion Band at 10 pm.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 30

SUNDAY, AUGUST 31

 Advancing Singers (plus 3 Alternates) from each day will PROCEED to Finals. Results from each day will be posted on the Fusion Entertainment Contest Website.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 (FINALS ROUNDS)

• All songs during the Finals MUST BE MEMORIZED. There will be no karaoke screen during the Finals Rounds.

• Singers are allowed to sing the same song they previously performed OR they may change songs from qualifying rounds vs. finals. In many cases, we highly recommend staying with the song that got you that far. However, the WINNER MUST sing the same song with which they won, on the National Stage.

• Singers must prepare to be available between 12 pm - 6 pm

  FINALS ROUND TIMES TO BE DETERMINED

  STAR MAKER SHOWDOWN WINNER PERFORMS THEIR WINNING SONG ON NATIONAL STAGE: between 7:30 - 8:30 pm

  (1/2 of the Prize Money awarded by September 15, pending possible background check referenced in Eligibility Restrictions. The other 1/2 will be awarded after Soaring Eagle Performance.)

RULES:

• All songs will be performed to a karaoke or instrumental backing track. Live Instruments are not allowed.

• All Contestants must be 21+. 

• Contest is only open to Solo singers

• Contest has eligibility restrictions based on various levels of Professional Achievement. Please read Eligibility Restrictions closely, prior to signing up. Click Eligibility Link or scroll to the bottom of the page

• Contestants must show a valid Arts Beats & Eats wristband to participate. (N/A on Aug 21 & Aug 28.)

• Any genre is welcome, but Energetic, Fun, Crowd Favorite Songs in Pop, Rock, R&B or Country are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

• Original Songs are allowed, but they must have an accessible instrumental backing track online that can be easily downloaded by Fusion Entertainment.

• The Finals will have no karaoke monitor. SONGS MUST BE MEMORIZED FOR THE FINALS. There will be no karaoke monitor on the National Stage; therefore, singers must show how they will perform without lyrics on screen. 

• Songs will have a 5-minute time limit.

• Duplicate songs from Multiple Singers are allowed.

• Songs & Stage demeanor must be appropriate and FAMILY FRIENDLY

• Profanity will result in disqualification

• Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, Young MC & C+C Music Factory Songs are not allowed

• Singers must make Food &/or Drink purchases within 526 Main to support the venue
  
  

  HOW TO WIN!

1.) Please understand, this is NOT a typical karaoke contest. We are looking for the next big star to feature in front of THOUSANDS of people on the NATIONAL STAGE at Arts Beats & Eats. This winner will also have a performance at Soaring Eagle Casino with future gig possibilities. Powerhouse Vocals and Stage Presence that will entertain a crowd of thousands are what you need to take home the prize! Bring your A GAME and prepare to WOW the Crowd!

2.) PICK CROWD FAVORITE SONGS that will make STRANGERS in the crowd want to vote for you! Now is not the time to do obscure songs.

Arts Beats & Eats Star Maker Showdown Eligibility

Singers are not eligible to participate in the Star Maker Showdown contest if any of the following exclusions apply to them. All eligibility exclusions regarding previous or current achievements refer to SINGING. Associations via NON-SINGING positions (i.e, Dancers, Actors, Musicians) are not applicable.

Singers are not eligible if they have:

•  Held a Lead, Secondary or Chorus Singing Role in a Nationally Touring Broadway Show (domestic or international) in the last 5 years.

•  Achieved Top 10 status in any National or International Televised Talent Competition in the last 5 years. Applicable shows include, but are not limited to: American Idol, The Voice, X-Factor, America’s Got Talent and/or other similar shows.

•  Performed as the Headlining Entertainer in any Las Vegas Casino in the last 5 years

• Been contracted by a Cruise Ship Line as a Celebrity or Guest Entertainer or Headliner in the last 5 years (singers without those distinctions and/or general cast members ARE allowed)

•  Currently have, or had in the last 5 years, an existing contract or record deal with a major recording label or studio, or their direct affiliates. Applicable labels are, but not limited to:

• ABC Records, Atlantic Records, Big Machine Records, Bigger Picture Group, Black River Entertainment,  BMG Records, BNA Records, BBR Music Group, Capitol Records, Columbia Records, Curb Records, Def Jam,  EMI Records, EPiC Records, Interscope Records, Island Records, Geffen Records, Legacy Recordings, MCA Nashville, Mercury Nashville, Motown, Polygram, RCA, Republic Records, Sony, Universal Music Group, Virgin Records, Warner Music Group

•  Have ever won, or been nominated for, a Major National or International Music Award, including but not limited to: Grammy, Tony, Emmy, Oscar, BET, AMA, Billboard Music Award, MTV, Juno, Etc

•  Have ever had a Top 100 Hit on any National or International Billboard Chart.

• Employees & Immediate family members of Arts Beats & Eats, 526 Main, Tequila Blue, Fifth Avenue & Fusion Entertainment, are not eligible to participate in this competition

Arts, Beats & Eats reserves the right to delay payment for any cash or prizes for up to 14 days, to allow for a background check of winners to ensure they have not violated eligibility rules. Violation of any contest rules, including eligibility, may result in forfeiture of any cash and prizes not yet awarded. 

Arts, Beats & Eats, Fusion Entertainment and 526 Main have the right to refuse participation at any point, to any individual, for any reason, including but not limited to: Disruptive or unethical behavior, unfair advantage, or any actions that may cause embarrassment to sponsors and/or affiliates. Judge's decisions and/or interpretations relevant to any component of this contest are final and are not subject to challenge or retribution.

By entering this singing contest (“Contest”), singers hereby release and hold harmless Fusion Entertainment, Arts, Beats & Eats, 526 Main, and their respective owners, affiliates, employees, agents, judges, sponsors, venue partners, and any associated personnel (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, injuries, losses, liabilities, or expenses that may arise from or in connection with their participation in the Contest. 

This release includes, but is not limited to, claims related to personal injury, illness (including COVID-19 or other communicable diseases), property damage, or dissatisfaction with the conduct, procedures, judging, outcome, or eligibility determinations of the Contest. 

By submitting an entry form, singers understand and agree that:
- All judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal or review.
- The Released Parties reserve the right to determine eligibility and may disqualify or refuse participation to any contestant at their sole discretion, without notice or explanation.
- Participation in the Contest does not guarantee advancement, prizes, or recognition of any kind.
- Singers are voluntarily participating in the Contest and assume all risks associated with such participation.
- Singers grant the Released Parties the right to use their name, image, voice, and performance for promotional purposes without compensation. 

By entering the Contest, Singers affirm they have read, understood, and agreed to this Disclaimer and Release of Liability in its entirety.
